This interdisciplinary conference will bring together scholars, practitioners, and policy makers to examine critical and emerging issues in mental health law—including litigation, coercion in care, criminal justice, MAiD, and novel and emerging treatments. The program features contributions from leading experts across law, psychiatry, sociology, Indigenous health, and public health.

We invite students to submit abstracts for the conference poster session. This session is dedicated to showcasing student work. Posters will be displayed/presented at the end of Day 1 and remain available for viewing over the Day 2 lunch period. We welcome submissions from students at all levels (undergraduate and graduate). Posters may address any theme connected to the Ottawa Charter as well as contemporary questions of health equity, human rights, and health promotion. Posters in English and French are welcome.
